Prime Gaming has revealed a surprise batch of free games.

Prime Gaming has announced even more free games for May 2023. The monthly freebie list was already quite lengthy at 15 games, but now Amazon Prime subscribers can claim eight more games right now. The bonus freebies include some great indies such as the comical Zelda-like Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion and Double Kick Heroes. May's original monthly lineup already included some standout titles, most of which are available to claim now. To celebrate Star Wars Day earlier this month, Prime Gaming gave away Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 3D.
Rogue Squadron isn't the only classic you can check out this month. Planescape Torment's Enhanced Edition and Samurai Shodown IV are up for grabs. Planescape Torment is certainly worth playing if you're an RPG fan. The Enhanced Edition's quality-of-life improvements help make it a solid time investment all these years later. Meanwhile, Samurai Shodown IV is a classic SNK fighting game that originally released in arcades back in 1996.
The 15 free games will be released in groups every Thursday throughout the month. Here's the full list:
You get to keep every free game you claim from Prime Gaming--even if your Prime subscription expires.
Outside of the free games to download, Prime Gaming members can also stream several games each month via Amazon Luna's Prime Gaming Channel. May's streamable games include Lego DC Super-Villains, Resident Evil 2, Overcooked, and Frog Island. That's a great lineup, but they are only available to stream in May.
