Fate/Samurai Remnant is launching September
Fate/Samurai Remnant is going to be released on September 29th, Koei Tecmo has revealed. The game, which is the latest entry in the Fate series, will be available on PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC via Steam. To mark the announcement, the first trailer for Fate/Samurai Remnant has been released, showing some gameplay and cutscenes.
The description of Fate/Samurai Remnant says, “In Fate/Samurai Remnant, players control Miyamoto Iori, a Master who studied the Niten Ichiryu style of swordsmanship. He fights alongside Saber, a Servant who possesses strength beyond that of humans. When facing enemies beyond human control, players will be able to instruct their Servant to attack with powerful magical techniques, or even take direct control of the Servant to attack the enemy swarm. Dynamic battle scenes between Servants help elevate the action to new heights and are must-see contests for fans of the series!”
Fate/Samurai Remnant is set during the Edo period of Japan and is focused on the Waxing Moon Ritual. Miyamoto Iori is one of seven Masters and he has to face off against the other six until only one of them is left standing, as each of them tries to attain the Waxing Moon. The Waxing Moon will grant any wish that the bearer has. Outside of the fights, players will be able to explore the town and take part in side quests.
Koei Tecmo also revealed the Treasure Box Edition of Fate/Samurai Remnant. This will include a Fate/Samurai Remnant material art book, a B2 sized cloth poster, original soundtrack CD, Command Spell stickers, bonus costume DLC (set of two costumes), the Official Short Story Translation book, and a collectible box.
