This could be an upcoming QuakeCon announcement.

Quake II Remastered has been rated by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea, despite not being officially announced.
Spotted by Gematsu, the rating includes a description of the game which says that Quake II is «an FPS game that wages war against the hostile alien race, Strogg, who plans to invade the earth.» A rating popping up is often an indicator that a game will be announced soon afterward.
In 2021, a remaster of the first Quake game was rated ahead of its reveal as well. Then, Quake Remastered was officially revealed at QuakeCon 2021. It's possible that Bethesda could announce Quake II Remastered at the upcoming QuakeCon 2023, which is being held from August 10-13.
If Quake II Remastered gets revealed, then it'll presumably release on all modern platforms as the first Quake Remaster did, including PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Quake II was first launched in 1997. In GameSpot's Quake II review, we said, «Whatever else may be said about Quake II, one thing is certain: It is the only first-person shooter to render the original Quake entirely obsolete.»
