All American: Homecoming episode 1's ending teases Damon Sims' surprise family history. The CW's All American spinoff is primarily focused on continuing Simone Hicks' story after her supporting role since season 2, but Damon Sims will also be a main character. Audiences first met the talented baseball prospect during All American season 3 when an episode was used as a backdoor pilot for All American: Homecoming. However, plenty of mysteries about Damon and his past remained.

One of the biggest unanswered questions about Damon that All American: Homecoming will address is about his real parents. Damon was adopted as a child and his adopted mom fueled his baseball career. He doesn't know who his biological parents are, but he does know that they went to Bringston University. This was part of the reason why he wanted to go to the college, as he hopes to find out more about his birth parents.
