iPhone 14 Pro design to get BIG iconic change! Apple to change its face completely
Apple iPhone 14 Pro is set to get a BIG iconic design upgrade! The flagship “Pro” iPhone hasn’t many changes over the past few years since the arrival of the iPhone X. While the iPhone 13 Pro got a smaller notch, Apple is set to remove the notch entirely this year from the iPhone 14 Pro series. But as the rumours suggest, it own’t be a clear uninterrupted display experience. Instead, Apple will follow Samsung and a few other brands to get a pill and hole shaped cutouts for the front camera sensors.
The iPhone 14 Pro, according to Ross Young of DSCC, will have two separate cutouts for its Face ID sensors and the front camera. The TruDepth camera sensors will be placed inside a pill-shaped cutout, whereas the front camera will get a dedicated circular cutout. The CAD renders shared by 91Mobiles now show the same concept, and it tends to make the iPhone 14 Pro looks vastly different from anything else that is in the market.
With this change, the iPhone 14 Pro will free up more pixels above the cutouts, although it remains to be seen how Apple is going to use up this space. Will this space be used for showing the battery status, or something else? We will have to wait and see.
There are rumours of Apple trying to hide the Face ID sensors under the display, thereby freeing up more space, leaving only the camera cutout. However, this is said to miss its deadline of the September launch and Apple could reserve it for the iPhone 15 series in the future.
The renders also go on to show the Lightning port as well as the SIM card slot, the latter expected to also give us a miss this year. With over six months left for the expected launch, Apple could still toy around with these features and maybe skip these features.
