Remedy wants fans to “join” it on 7th June, when Alan Wake 2’s first paid expansion Night Springs will presumably be announced as part of Summer Game Fest. We’ve known for quite some time that the inaugural DLC for the Finland-based studio’s critically acclaimed PS5 horror will be named after the franchise’s fictional television show, as a description revealed we’ll play as “several familiar characters from the world of Alan Wake and experience the unexplainable in multiple self-contained episodes”.
The add-on was previously due out in the spring, so it’s probably safe to anticipate it won’t be too far away once it’s fully revealed as part of host Geoff Keighley’s live show later this week.
It's a spiral, not a circle
Obviously, this is the first of two planned expansions, with The Lakehouse scheduled to follow. “The Lakehouse is a mysterious facility situated on the shores of Cauldron Lake set up by an independent government organisation to conduct secret research,” the official blurb teases. “Until something goes wrong.”
