America's Got Talent's danger competition spin-off America's Got Talent: Extreme has been put on hold, with no current plans for a second season. The show, which was a short-lived four-week event, premiered on NBC in February to low ratings. The series is the second spin-off for the America's Got Talent franchise, which previously aired two seasons of the all-star competition, America's Got Talent: The Champions. The danger series aired its finale in March, and stunt performers Alfredo Silva's Cage Riders took home the $500,000 grand prize.

The accident forced the show to shut down production, though it resumed at the beginning of 2022. Jonathan and his family recently revealed that the accident has left him permanently paralyzed. The show saw current AGT judge and executive producer Simon Cowell judge the acts alongside wrestler Nikki Bella and stunt performer Travis Pastrana. Terry Crews, who hosts America's Got Talent, also hosted this spin-off.
