Following the iPhone 14 launch, Apple may announce a new low-cost iPad and an updated version of the iPad Pro with the new M2 silicon chip and possible MagSafe charging capabilities. The news comes from a Korean blog Naver, which says that the affordable iPad and new iPad Pro may arrive during an event currently scheduled for October of this year, MacRumors quoted the sources.
The latest leak claims that the low-cost iPad is expected to get a significant redesign with flat edges as well as a larger display. Additionally, the affordable iPad is expected to feature the A14 Bionic chip, 5G connectivity, a larger display, and a USB-C port. The launch of the expected new iPad and iPad Pro is likely to coincide with the final rollout of iPadOS 16 for everyone, which is tipped to be delayed than iOS 16. The new iPadOS 16 brings new features and minor refinements for non-M1 iPads.
The previous rumours suggest that besides the M2 chip and new iPadOS 16, the iPad Pro 2022 will feature a 14.1-inch display and 16GB of RAM. The famous Apple analyst, Mark Gurman reported a few weeks ago that the production of the iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 have already started for the fall event this September 2022.
