The new model is expected to come with a couple of big upgrades that could change the way AirPods users adapt to the whole thing.
Based on a new leak from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, it is said that Apple could be announcing the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen at the September 7 launch event. “I reported last year that new AirPods Pro would arrive in 2022, and now I'm told that Wednesday will be their big unveiling," says Gurman in his newsletter. This would be a big deal for AirPods fans, considering the current generation model has been around for almost three years. That's too long for the tech industry.
Previous leaks have talked about the expected upgrades with the AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. it is said that the new model will get an upgraded H2 chipset inside. This new chip should allow for improved audio quality, and a longer battery life. Additionally, the new model could also feature a new charging case with Find My support. We could also expect improved in-ear detection, fitness tracking capabilities, and more. The new AirPods Pro could also support Bluetooth LE Audio which would allow it to connect to two devices at once.
