Boo! Get ready for Spooktober with the Pokémon GO Harvest Festival. This upcoming event has just been announced by Niantic and has plenty of treats up for grabs as we introduce the new season.
The Harvest Festival will begin October 12th and run until October 17th at 8:00 p.m. local time. Get ready to meet your favourite inedible olive, Smoliv! This little Pokémon makes its debut alongside evolved counterparts Dollic and Arboliva! Get your Pokéballs ready as a total of 125 Smoiv candies will be required to enter each new Pokédex entry.
During this celebration of seasons changing, we will also see more grass-type Pokémon wild encounter spawns. Pokéstop showcases will feature the likes of fan favourite Pumpkaboo, newcomer Smoliv, and the spooky Gourgeist!
As well as this, the Pokémon GO Harvest Festival also has a special regional Pokémon for you to catch. This time around the festival will feature Flabébé, with the red flower appearing in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. The blue flower appears in Asia-Pacific, and finally the yellow flower in the Americas.
Moss Lure Modules will last a generous 2 hours during this Festival. Players can also take advantage of the increased Pumpkaboo spawn rate and be awarded double candy when caught.
Of course, there will be Events to complete during this season too! Field research tasks and Collection Challenges will prompt you to explore locally to check off the Harvest tasks. Players can enjoy the spoils of Pokémon encounters such as the three Burmy appearances, Pumpkaboo, and Smoliv.
