Geoff Keighley has announced the list of 30 games that will be subject to a community vote to crown one winner at The Game Awards. While the rest of the awards are very heavily weighted towards what critics vote for, this is 100 per cent community-led. A series of rounds will knock games out until an eventual winner is decided.
The nominated games are:
Based on its sales trajectory these past few months, Black Myth: Wukong has a very, very strong chance of winning this award. It had sold more than 20 million copies as of late September, and another two months have passed since then. If this community vote reaches the Asian and Chinese market, then it's difficult to see any other game properly competing.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he's found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
Yep Wu Kong is pretty much a guaranteed win but I voted for
FF7 Rebirth, Veilguard, Metaphor, Silent Hill 2, Stellar Blade, Dragons Dogma 2 and Persona 3 Reload.
Wukong will win this award hands down. Not saying it deserves it, but you know it’s getting the votes.
At least some non-GotY nominees have a shot though.
As much as I love wukong I think helldivers 2 gets my vote. Hd2 released at a time in my life that was going through a very emotional turmoil and I was playing this online every evening with a few fellow pushsquare followers who helped take my mind of real life events for a few hours each night and I'll never be able to thank those guys enough. Awesome game with an awesome community.
