The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has been home to plenty of strange and helpful fan creations, and one player is showing off their unique machine that helps Link clear enemies off the bridges of Hyrule. Tears of the Kingdom is one of the most successful Zelda entries of all time in terms of sales and critical acclaim, and part of that stems from the way it builds off the open-world framework of 2017’s Breath of the Wild with a surprisingly in-depth crafting mechanic that lets players build virtually anything they can imagine.
This has led to a wave of impressive fan creations in the months since The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launched on the Nintendo Switch, with Link utilizing these inventive Zelda community creations in his quest to free the land of Hyrule from the dark forces that threaten it. So far, Link has been shown blasting foes away with a remote-powered cannon, swatting them with some sort of hockey-inspired battle machine, and speeding to his next sidequest in a makeshift pickup truck. One Tears of the Kingdom player even put together a massive rolling vehicle using a large chunk of bridge.
Another Reddit user by the handle of LongjumpingFrame1771 is instead using their Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom crafting skills to clean the bridges of Hyrule, as shown in a video clip posted on r/HyruleEngineering. Built from one of the stone seesaws in the Wao-os shrine and some makeshift rocket thrusters, this impromptu bridge sweeper can be aimed using Link’s Ultrahand power and launched at enemies by firing an arrow at it. Once it’s unleashed, it shoots forward and knocks away any foes in its path, as the unlucky squad of enemies in LongjumpingFrame1771’s video soon discovers.
