Cosplayer and makeup artist Allison Chase created Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild cosplay that brought to life a Decayed Guardian at Megacon Orlando. The Decayed Guardians in Breath of the Wild represent exactly what their names suggest — crumbling versions of Guardian Stalkers who no longer have the ability to move independently. The Guardian Stalker's decaying variant may not look too imposing at first glance, but they immediately register Link as a threat when he enters close proximity. Players who've triggered Decayed Guardians know all too well the damage caused by their laser sights.
BOTW doesn't count as the only Zelda game that creative members of the fan community like to build cosplay around. In recent months, cosplay modeled after titles such as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess has gained traction online. Cosplayer Jahara Jayde brought Sheik to life in stunning detail, for example. And earlier this year, Mar-X 1 turned Twilight Princess’ Darknut into even more of a formidable foe. Of course, Breath of the Wild continues to receive its fair share of love from cosplayers, as well.

As spotted by website Zelda Dungeon, cosplayer Allison Chase recently took to Instagram and TikTok to share footage and photos of their incredible Decayed Guardian cosplay. The BOTW-inspired creation is fully functional, too, with LEDs, rotating body parts, and sound effects that include music and the whir of a firing laser. Allison Chase showed off the build this past weekend during Megacon Orlando. Check out a video of Breath of the Wild's Decayed Guardian in action in the Instagram post below:
