Pokémon Red & Blue became the source of a lot of rumors among kids who played the games at release. Those who remember the first few years of Pokémon's existence will likely remember kids talking about the game at school and on the playground, swapping stories about the game. Sometimes these stories included rumors that spread like wildfire.
The rumors about Red & Blue included a wide range of theories. Some seemed fairly plausible, such as ways to catch various Pokémon or unlock secret fights, while others involved various glitches that became rather legendary.
