First 4 Figures has revealed a brand-new real-life statue based on the Sheikah Slate from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The Sheikah Slate was an important item from Breath of the Wild, where players used it to solve puzzles, view in-game menus, and engage with several other mechanics. This item would be replaced in the sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, with the Purah Pad, a reverse engineered device that functions exactly like the Sheikah Slate, made by Purah.
Breath of the Wild's Sheikah Slate also served as an in-game substitute for either the Wii U game pad or Nintendo Switch, considering the shape of the item and its similarities to both peripherals. Fans have taken to replicating the Sheikah Slate in real-life, either by customizing their Switch to make it look like the Slate, or by creating their own statues or cosplay items. Now, First 4 Figures is giving fans a chance to get a semi-functional life-size statue version of the Sheikah Slate, with pre-orders opening soon.
This statue was shown off in some new videos posted by First 4 Figures, which highlight how it looks as well as some of its functions. This statue is an exact recreation of the Sheikah Slate device from Breath of the Wild, with details that give it a rustic, ancient technological look, especially when it comes to the handle and resin texture. The eye symbol is on the back and has a screen just like the in-game device. It can also be held in a base stand, which makes it an easy item to put on display. Pre-orders for this item will open on February 20, 2024.
A separate video was released that detailed some of the statue's functions that work in conjunction with the base it comes with. The base has an LED circle that lights up and changes colors whenever the tablet is removed or inserted into it. There is also a screen part of the tablet in the center that lights up and changes colors when the eye button on the back of the tablet is pressed. Realistically, the item cannot be a full recreation
