A new Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator Mainline Build is now available for download, bringing performance and emulation improvements for several high-profile titles like Super Mario Odyssey, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, and others.
Mainline Build introduces a new query/GPU counter cache that addresses Level of Details issues with games like Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, fixes lens flare in Luigi's Mansion 3 and glow particles in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3, allows shadows to be rendered in Metroid Prime Remastered. This change also implements host conditional rendering, which improves performance on low-end devices for titles like Super Mario Odyssey and multiple Koei Tecmo titles.
Improving performance seems to be the current main focus of the Yuzu development team, as other builds released a few days back brought reduced stuttering and better performance in multiple titles with a change that has yet to be fully implemented in the Mainline Build of the emulator. A few other builds released earlier this month also improved Bayonetta 3's emulation and performance, finally providing an experience on PC that is better and more stable than on native hardware.
More information on the Yuzu Nintendo Switch emulator can be found on its official website. The latest Mainline Build can also be downloaded from the website.
