We know Nintendo is working on their successor console to the Switch. However, we haven’t seen anything official regarding when we’ll get our first look at this new piece of hardware. It’s not unlike Nintendo to keep their projects hidden away and then surprise fans with little notice of a reveal event. Nintendo Direct announcements are notorious for being just a day or two away from the actual event. So, it can be at any point now when Nintendo will unveil the console. Of course, since we’re moving into the holiday season, the company might be holding off to get the last bit of sales possible for the Nintendo Switch console and its line of games.
With that said, nonstop rumors have flooded the internet about what to expect with the Nintendo Switch 2. This new console will continue to see supposed leaks and details emerge online until we get an official reveal. However, we would like to keep you informed on some of the more recent leaks that could prove to be credible. For instance, one of the leaks that have emerged online recently comes from SoldierDelta, an insider who has provided information to another inside, The Snitch. We’re getting this information from Resetera, so regardless, don’t put too much weight into this, as again, it’s purely a rumor right now with no word on whether this will prove to be real or not.
According to the insider, Nintendo is releasing two SKUs for the next console. One of which, as I’m sure you can guess, will be a digital-only version of the console. It’s also noted that this new console will be released on September 24, 2024. We even have a price tag that suggests we’re looking at a digital-only version for $400, while the non-digital version of the console would only cost $449.
