At last year’s debut Xbox Developer_Direct, Hi-Fi Rush was without a doubt the highlight of the show, not only because it turned out to be an excellent game, but also because its announcement and immediate launch took everyone by surprise. Many had hoped that Microsoft would go for something similar at this year’s imminent Developer_Direct, but it seems the company isn’t planning an encore.
Micosoft recently published a blog post on Xbox Wire detailing how the upcoming Direct presentation can be streamed live, and at the very end of the post, confirmed that all games shown during the event will be released “later”, rather than immediately afterward.
“All the games in this year’s Developer_Direct will be arriving later, with more details to be shared in the program,” Microsoft wrote.
That said, though there isn’t going to be a shadow drop like there was last year, it’s been claimed that the Developer_Direct is still going to feature a fifth game that Microsoft hasn’t confirmed for the show yet.
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2, Indiana Jones, Avowed, and Ara: History Untold are officially confirmed for the event, which is scheduled for January 18, 12 PM Pacific.
