X-Men's New Magical Sentinels Make the Originals Look Weak

A new team led by Captain Britain, AKA Betsy Braddock, has to overcome the a magical version of the android Sentinels, the X-Men's sworn enemies, in order to liberate mutants trapped in the mystical Otherworld. A preview for Knights of X #1 shows that the lethal Furies are being used by the tyrant Merlyn to hunt mutants in his domain.
At the end of Marvel's Excalibur series, Captain Britain remained trapped in Otherworld when Merlyn seized control of the realm and started his crusade against «Witchbreed» — Otherworld's term for mutants. Otherworld's portal to Krakoa was destroyed by the actions of the British Government, so Betsy decided to stay behind to fulfill her duty as leader of the Captain Britain Corps and lead the resistance against the anti-mutant forces of Merlyn and his right-hand man, King Arthur. However, the two villains have at their disposal the fearsome power of the Furies, extradimensional cybernetic creatures that were created specifically to destroy superpowered beings, which Merlyn is using as his personal Sentinels.

The original Fury was created by Alan Moore and Alan Davis as a foe for Captain Britain. It was an almost-unstoppable creature that could adapt and rebuild itself, killing every superhuman in its home universe, and going on to defeat the reality-warping mutant Jim Jaspers. Through a series of Multiversal events, multiple versions of the Fury relocated to Otherworld, where they created a province called Infuri the Everforge, with a massive forge built by fusing a Celestial with a star.
