Players have many auditory and visual cues to keep an ear and eye out for in Dead by Daylight. On either the killer or survivor side of Dead by Daylight's asymmetrical horror, map awareness and aura visibility is paramount to the comprehension of what has occurred in each trial.
If a generator is blown, for example, or if survivors fast-vault, the killer will typically be notified with an alert. Likewise, survivors are typically made aware of the killer's presence due to a unique terror radius theme and subsequent chase music theme when they have been spotted and a chase has started. Each killer character features a different radius, and some even have different radius themes or lullabies at different distances. Recently, Dead by Daylight's iconic killer from the slasher Scream is the latest character to receive a new terror radius theme and chase music theme.

Following Legion's new chase music theme, Ghostface has received their own. Ghostface's new killer terror radius and chase music themes are much different from their previous ones. Their build-ups are haunting and suspenseful, and leads into their chase music introduction, which is an entirely separate track that maintains rolling tension as do every other killer's chase themes. In Dead by Daylight, the killer's terror radius is a red cone that shines outward in front of killers in the survivors' perspective.
Of course, this may not be the case if the killer has strategically altered or removed it with a perk in Dead by Daylight such as Tinkerer or a status effect such as Undetectable. The Huntress' or Freddy's lullabies, however, are heard before they are close enough for survivors to see their terror radii.
