World of Warcraft opens up the new Eastern Kingdoms Cup Dragonriding event and offers a brand new pet in the shop (that will later be offered in the Trading Post).
The newest event is here to challenge potential dragonriding racers via a set of 14 races set across the Eastern Kingdoms (where else?). Courses will be available in normal, advanced, and even reverse variations. The entire event will run from today, October 4th, through October 17th and you can begin in Valdrakken, Stormwind, and Orgrimmar.
The 14 courses that you’ll have to master to win yourself some new shinies are:
Among those potential rewards include earning achievements for completing individual races, and the ability to collect Riders of Azeroth badges that you can exchange for rewards of your choice. Those choices include several new Winding Slitherdrake customizations and a number of rewards from prior racing world quests, including the Drake Racer’s Transmog Set and other customization options.
WoW has also just released Lil’Maggz, the new Baby Pit Lord pet. The pet will be available to buy from the shop until October 31st. In a note on the pet announcement, it says that you'll be able to play World of Warcraft and earn yourself this pet in the future.
Lil’Maggz “will arrive in a future rotation of the Trading Post, but no sooner than three months after the pet leaves the Shop”. So if you are looking to save your coin and get your hands on this little pet later, it will have to be done via the training post sometime in 2024. If this is any indication, another chance to grab limited-edition pets may be a new option moving forward.
