With the launch of Patch 10.2.6 approaching, Blizzard posted some changes to dungeons in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight Season 4, which will up the difficulty and rewards for Heroic and Mythic dungeons. The changes will make Heroic and low-rank Mythic Dungeons in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight more relevant for the remainder of the expansion and into The War Within.
The news of these changes arrived a day after World of Warcraft started its limited-time collaboration with Hearthstone to celebrate the latter's 10th anniversary. However, the Hearthstone Anniversary event got off to a shaky start, as issues related to the timing of portals, and player loot distribution, began to creep up and frustrate players looking to claim rewards such as the Compass Rose mount and the Stone of the Hearth toy. While Blizzard reportedly fixed some of the portal issues that showed up in Stormwind, it remains to be seen how effective those fixes will be in addressing players' concerns. The Hearthstone 10th Anniversary event runs until March 18, so World of Warcraft players will not have much time to claim the rewards they want.
As for rewards coming to the game soon, World of Warcraft dungeon enthusiasts are in for some major changes in Season 4. In a Blizzard blog post, the WoW development team noted some important changes to Heroic and Mythic dungeons. The changes will affect all Dragonflight dungeons, which also means that the Season 4 Mythic+ Dungeon rotation will include instances such as Uldaman, Neltharus, and the Azure Vault. While Normal mode and Follower dungeons will remain unchanged, Heroic and low-level Mythic dungeons will see their difficulties and the rewards they offer changed. The changes to dungeon loot between Dragonflight Seasons 3 and 4 are documented in the table below.
