Fortnite and Avatar: The Last Airbender are crossing over, bringing iconic characters like Aang, Toph, Zuko, Katara, and Korra to the battle royale.
You probably noticed a pretty important character missing from that list - Sokka. Weirdly, the event includes his "Space Sword", crafted from the ore of a fallen meteorite, but not him.
He's been a part of the series since the very first episode when he and his sister Katara went out fishing and found Aang frozen in the iceberg. So, he's been a core member of the group since day one, but if you want to recreate the OG squad with your friends, you can't.
Aang, on the other hand, has two skins - there's the standard look with his training robes, and then there's the Avatar State version where his eyes and arrows glow bright white.
Each Aang skin is part of the mini-event pass, whereas the others are sold separately in the store. You can see their prices listed below.
There's no Sokka in sight (unless you count his sword), but the Avatar crossover is packed with changes. One of the more controversial updates is the removal of rarities from the locker, only leaving it for special cosmetics like crossovers.
There are also new bending mythics you can find on the island that allow you to fire, water, and earth bend in-game. You don't need a matching skin for this to work, so if you really want to, you can make Toph fire bend. Alternatively: don't, that's weird.
If Sokka was included, we could finally give him a taste of water bending, but alas, he isn't. We can at least carry his sword in his honour, eh?
Starting life as a tower defense game, Fortnite has become one of the biggest video games out there. Its battle royale mode dominates popular culture, featuring concerts by megastar musicians and crossovers with just about every brand imaginable, from Marvel to the NFL.
