Wordle Homage Waffle Doesn't Feature Any Typing

The beloved daily puzzle has spawned many successors, like a Wordle clone with movie clips called Moviedle, but Waffle may be the most effective spin-off yet.
Developed by Josh Wardle, the word puzzle game Wordle was launched in October 2021 and purchased by The New York Times in January 2022. The game tasks players with figuring out a five-letter word within six tries, with every incorrect guess revealing which letters do or do not belong in the solution. This simple premise achieved instant popularity, and countless Wordle clones have popped up to put their own spin on the concept. For example, Marvle and Lordle edit the pool of solutions to only include words associated with the Marvel or Lord of the Rings franchises. Some clones are more unique, with the word puzzle game Antiwordle tasking players with avoiding a word rather than finding one.
