The Minecraft Snapshot 22w19a is finally out. Mojang released the snapshot yesterday and it brings more changes, new features and bug fixes to the existing game. These snapshots are building up to the major update scheduled for later this summer called ‘The Wild’ which will add elements such as new biomes, mobs, enchantments and more. The snapshots play the role of teasers which excite the players for the upcoming features and also let the developers test out various features so they can tweak them accordingly. Warden and Iron Golems now spawn above something solid. The game has also added a new chat preview feature for the servers. When enabled, a server-controlled preview appears above the chat edit box, showing how the message will look when sent. This can be used by servers to preview messages with styling applied, such as emojis or chat coloring. A warning screen will be shown on the client when joining a server with Chat Preview, and it can be globally disabled in Chat Settings.
A sub-command has been added to the ‘place command’. The place command can now also place templates at a given location. The ‘locate’ command moved to ‘locate structure’ and ‘locatebiome’ command has been moved to ‘locate biome’. Servers will now also send an additional icon and MOTD packet after a player has connected.
