Last week we let you know that Voodoo Detective was launching on Android later this month. It is now officially later this month, because Voodoo Detective is out right now on the Play Store. Doesn’t time fly when you’re not really paying attention?
The game is a trad point-and-click adventure that fans of the classic era of LucasArts are definitely going to fall for. Loved Monkey Island? Then you should definitely consider giving this one a go.
Why, you ask? Well for one thing the game looks gorgeous, all hand-drawn backdrops and slick animation. There’s wit and whimsy here too, and a story that’s going to keep you pointing and clicking until the bitter end. Here’s a trailer.
The action takes place on New Ginen, an island town steeped in Voodoo lore. You’re playing as the titular Voodoo Detective, and need to get to the bottom of all manner of strange happenings.
The game features a stellar voice cast, music from Peter McConnell the composer behind the likes of Grim Fandango and Psychonauts, to name but two.
One thing to point out is that all of this goodness doesn’t come cheap. Voodoo Detective will set you back $14.99. If you still fancy picking it up, you can click here to do just that.
