Magician Lord ACA NeoGeo Out Now on the Play Store

This week’s new addition to the ACA NeoGeo library has landed on the Play Store, and it’s not just another edition of a fighting game. It’s called Magician Lord, and it’s a side-scrolling action game.

Now, let’s not beat about the bush here, the 90’s were basically the heyday of the side-scrolling action game. Magician Lord might not be a particularly well remembered one, but you can bet it’s gonna be ace.

It was released in 1990, and was a launch title for the original NeoGeo. It’s all about fighting your way through a fantasy world, using your magical powers to restore it to its former glory.

It certainly looks the part, and if there isn’t something inside you drawn to those graphics then you’re probably a good deal younger than we are. Which is fine. Whatever. We’re not bitter.

The game has all of the usual ACA NeoGeo tweaks to bring it up to date, from quick saves to customizable on-screen controls. And probably some other stuff as well.
