IGG and Dreamworks, two of the most successful entertainment companies on the planet, have teamed up for a two month-long Lords Mobile x Dreamworks Shrek collab event. 

Shrek is, of course, an absolutely iconic movie, TV show, and video game franchise. There’s even a stage musical, as well as a spin-off franchise in the form of Puss in Boots. It doesn’t get much bigger than that. 

Lords Mobile, IGG’s hit strategy MMO for mobile and PC, is similarly gargantuan, with more than 640 million downloads under its belt and billions of hours played by fans all over the world.

That makes this collaboration an objectively big deal. 

Beginning on December 1st, Lords Mobile x Dreamworks Shrek will see characters from the Shrek movies appearing in the Kingdoms of Athena all the way through until January 31st. Naturally, those characters include Fiona, Donkey, Puss in Boots, and Shrek himself. 

Not only that, but Shrek and Oathkeeper, the hulking knight from Lords Mobile, will appear as snow sculptures at the Jingyuetan National Scenic Spot in Changchun, China. If you’re in the area, you should definitely check them out. 

That goes double if you belong to one of the ten highest scoring guilds at the end of Guild Fest, which runs from December 4th till the 10th (GMT-5). Each of those guilds will have their tags carved into the special snow sculpture and preserved for all time/until the snow melts. 

There are several in-game events, too. 

Shrek’s Adventures involves hunting for page fragments and solving puzzles in pursuit of a whole range of rewards, including a special Shrek-themed castle skin, exclusive avatars, artifacts, and emotes, and more.
