Baldur's Gate 3 Fans Have A New Favourite Character: Bunt Chugley

Everyone in Baldur's Gate 3 has their own fanbase, it seems. Whether you're a Wyll lover, an Astarion girlie, or Karlach's soldier, you'll find more than a few kindred spirits in this fandom. Even if your favourite character is an NPC with a couple of lines of dialogue.

Yep, we're talking about everyone's favourite Baldurian, Bunt Chugley. This generic human NPC has captured the hearts of all who bump into him, as he's found blurting lines of dialogue out loud to no one in particular. There's just something about the way to walks around the same part of the map on repeat that makes him stand out from the crowd. Or, maybe, it's the name that everyone can't get enough of.

Over the past few weeks, speaking to Bunt Chugley has become something of a pilgrimage in the Baldur's Gate 3 fanbase. This TikTok user even points out that we never see a Mrs. Chugley, so there's no reason why he shouldn't be a romance option either.

Now, you won't exactly get many chances to hear him speak because he is - and I cannot stress this enough - a generic NPC walking around Baldur's Gate. However, I am here to bring some new information to light for the Bunt Chugley nation: he apparently shares the same voice actor as Dammon, Frazer Blaxland. I actually bumped into Frazer at a convention when I was interviewing Baldur's Gate 3 cosplayers. He was dressed as Dammon, of course. I expect he'll break out the Bunt Chugley outfit next time around.

And why shouldn't he? Even Larian knows that Bunt Chugley has his own dedicated following, acknowledging the man and his ridiculous name since launch.
