Cult of the Lamb's "sex update" has been a topic of conversation since the naughty acts were first teased late last year. In fact, it may have been teased a little too well, because the developer had to come out and confirm that it would not be turning Cult of the Lamb into an adult game. The team added that the update "hopefully" wouldn't cause the age rating of the game to be pushed up, and from what we can see in the trailer, they've managed to pull that off, as it's still rated as suitable for teens.
Ultimately, as our own Jade King pointed out around the time of the initial speculation, the sex update is marketing genius. The name "Sins of the Flesh" was enough to get fans speculating. Then, to fan the flames, the official Twitter account put out its famous promise to "add sex to the game" if it hit 300,000 followers by the end of the year. Reader, they're almost at 600,000 followers right now. It worked.
Now, even if it's not the explicit lovemaking that fans were joking about, Cult of the Lamb looks set to deliver on this pledge. From the trailer, we can see that Sins of the Flesh will let cult members get jiggy with it and even have children - all without budging the age rating, it seems. Not bad going.
