Daniel Kaluuya will not be returning in Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever. Previously, it was assumed that Kaluuya would would return to the role of W'Kabi, as he played in the first Black Panther film. Other actors that will supposedly return to the second Black Panther film include Leticia Wright, Martin Freeman, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danai Gurira.
Now, a tweet from Rotten Tomatoes awards editor Jacqueline Coley reveals that Kaluuya will not be returning as W’Kabi in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Coley revealed that Kaluuya announced that he would not be returning to Black Panther in an interview. Kaluuya cited schedule conflicts with Nope as the reason that he could not play W’Kabi in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Check out the tweet below:

This news is certainly disappointing, as W’Kabi was such a central character in Black Panther. However, Kaluuya’s choice to pursue Nope rather than the Black Panther sequel makes a lot of sense.
