Westworld Season 4: Aaron Paul Teases A Bigger Story
Aaron Paul teases a bigger story for Westworld season 4. Following his breakout role as Jesse Pinkman on Breaking Bad and that show's eventual finale in 2013, Paul joined the cast of HBO's cerebral sci-fi series in its third season as Caleb Nichols, a former soldier-turned-petty criminal. Nichols takes jobs through the RICO app, secretly run by rogue quantum computer Rehoboam, and became a central character in season 3 (which takes place almost entirely outside the series' titular park).
Westworld is inspired by the 1973 film of the same name written and directed by Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton, HBO's loose adaptation is created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy. Season 1's story begins inside the Wild-West-themed amusement park populated by highly advanced humanoid robots known as hosts. Seasons 2 and 3 expand further and further outside the park as the hosts gain sentience and become integrated into a dystopian society dominated by an omniscient supercomputer known as Rehoboam, which Dolores (Evan Rachel Wood) sacrifices herself to destroy. Audiences also saw the Charlotte Hale clone gearing up for a war against humanity, with whom Caleb will come face-to-face in season 4.
