If you're currently in the market to upgrade your PS5 internal solid-state drive, manufacturer Western Digital has partnered with PlayStation to produce a line of officially licensed SSDs. Known officially as the WD_BLACK SN850P NVMe™ SSD, this was a collaboration we knew was in the works, but the pricey little stick (at $549.99 USD for the 4TB) is now available.
Now, to be clear, you don't need a licensed SSD to revamp your machine, and there are plenty of cheaper options available. You're paying a premium for that PlayStation printing. Still, there is something to be said about the security such licensing implies, so we don't judge either way.
What do you think of this official partnership? Will you be getting yourself a sweet new SSD? Load into the comments section at an unfathomable speed.
