Digital Extremes’ next cinematic update for Warframe, Jade Shadows, will unveil the story of a beloved character in a new single-player quest launching for free on June 18 across all current platforms. The Devstream provided an in-depth look at the 57th Warframe, Jade, highlighted the new ascension mission type and clan operation: Belly of the Beast. It also detailed the full schedule and special voice guest roster for TennoCon 2024. Not only that, it also announced the date for Soulframe’s first-ever dedicated Devstream, among other exciting updates.
“This marks our last Devstream until TennoCon, so we packed it with as many goodies as we could to tide you over,” said Megan Everett, Community Director. “The team is thrilled to finally tell the Stalker’s story. We’ve never created a Warframe like Jade before, and we’re all excited! So stay hungry, Tenno, we are cooking up some real tasty treats with Jade Shadows and beyond. Sometimes it’s a detour from the main story, sometimes it’s all connected. We plan to keep everyone on their toes for the rest of the year.”
Players can explore the dark enigmas surrounding one of Warframe’s most enigmatic characters, the Stalker, in the new narrative quest, Jade Shadows. In a support role, Jade uses her “angelic choir” inspirations to perform buffing solos that increase damage or shield regeneration, slow enemies, or create healing light pools. Her ultimate ability empowers her to take to the skies and deliver a display of true divine intervention.
The Warframe team showcased the new vertical mission type, Ascension. Players must escape the bottom layer of an enemy base by commandeering a massive elevator. Furthermore, there’s also the fighting off waves of enemies, and collecting power cells to keep the lift moving.
