The newly-released Shadow of the Erdtree DLC helped Elden Ring reclaim the No.1 spot on Steam.
The game rose up three places week-on-week, while the expansion itself made its debut in second place following its June 20th release. Elden Ring hasn't been at the No.1 spot on Steam since its debut back in 2022; as far as we can tell, the highest it has reached since then was second place at the start of 2023.
The tough RPG bumped Counter-Strike 2 from second to third, while battle royale giant PUBG: Battlegrounds drops from first place to No.4. Pre-orders for Black Myth: Wukong were the fifth biggest seller of the week – down two places – while Valve's Steam Deck rose up two positions to sixth. This might have been helped by a 15 per cent discount for the original LCD 64GB and 512GB model, likely as the company tries to clear stock. Both SKUs are sold out now, so it appears that Valve was successful if that was its mission.
Chaotic co-op game Chained Together made its debut in seventh place following its June 19th launch while Destiny 2 drops two places to eighth as hype surrounding its new Final Shape DLC fades.
Dota 2 rose one place to ninth week-on-week, while Warframe rose up 25 places to No.10 thanks to the release of the Jade Shadows quest.
