Today, they announced a brand-new state-of-the-art performance capture and virtual reality facility designed from the ground up to further the entertainment industry's progress. This facility strives to further production globally, help local productions, and support jobs in motion capture, audio recording, video editing, virtual, and post-production.
Founded in 2019, LightSpeed LA is a subsidiary of LightSpeed Studios, which Tencent owns. LightSpeed Studios helped co-develop PUBG Mobile, one of the most popular live-service mobile video games currently available.
Currently, the first game in production to be created by LightSpeed Studios in LA is a triple-A game titled The Last Sentinel, with Troy Baker as the Performance Director for Last Sentinel. This is the first game developed using this innovative technology to make an open-world RPG set in futuristic Tokyo.

In addition to Steve C. Martin, the studio has plenty of highly talented people working in it, with people from backgrounds of RockStar Studios, BioWare, 2K, and many more. The LightSpeed Studio performance capture facility has a whopping 38,000 cubic feet across two floors to work with and can house up to 35 staff to allow for the most advanced productions should it be deemed necessary.
