Unicorn Overlord has looked great ever since its initial reveal last year, and quite frankly, it just seems to get more and more promising with each new info dump. The game's latest trailer covers character growth and class tactics — but perhaps most importantly, it reveals promotions.
In a process very similar to what you'll find in the Fire Emblem series, you're able to 'promote' chosen characters once certain requirements have been met. This lets them take on advanced character classes, which come with improved stats and unique abilities.
Seeing as Unicorn Overlord features so many recruitable heroes — over 60, according to previous press releases — the process of powering up your units is set to be a seriously addictive time sink. Again, this is an RPG that fans will want to keep an eye on.

Robert's been a dedicated PlayStation fan since the days of Tekken 2, and he still loves a good dust up. When he's not practising combos, he's usually getting lost in the latest 100-hour RPG, or, y'know, replaying The Witcher 3.
One of my most anticipated games of the year. It looks absolutely incredible.
Excited for this. It looks a bit like the progression system is a shake-up of FE class progress, borrowing bits of development mechanics from other series. A key title I’m watching closely along with Rise of the Ronin for March releases!
I loved 13 Sentinels and I love fire emblem. I just wish I wasn’t working through another massive Atlus JRPG
As a fan of FE and past Vanillaware games, I have this on pre order!
@Deoxyr1bose 13 Sentinels was so good. Never tried any other Vanillaware games as they look like they can't quite hit those heights. As a fellow FE fan this looks like it will!
Vanillaware games are always excellent and good looking also.word up son
