There are many mysteries waiting to be solved in The Umbrella Academy, but a batch of character posters for season 3 might solve one of the biggest ones: the birthplaces of each member of the Umbrella Academy. The rise of the superhero genre in film and TV has made way for lesser-known and darker stories to be adapted to these, and one of the most popular titles in recent years is The Umbrella Academy. Created by Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá, The Umbrella Academy debuted on Netflix in February 2019, and it became so popular that it’s currently preparing for the release of its third season.
The Umbrella Academy follows the Hargreeves, seven kids who, along with other 36 babies around the world, were born on the same day and under the same mysterious circumstances. This curious event led scientist and billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreeves to adopt as many of those babies as he could, but he only got seven. As they developed superpowers, Reginald trained them and formed The Umbrella Academy, but the team gradually parted ways and reunited many years later when Reginald died and the end of the world was fast-approaching. The Hargreeves have since been working on healing their relationship as siblings and as a team, and during that process, they have learned more about their origin, but there are still many questions waiting to be answered.
