Even though the last few years have taken some twisting turns, Riverdale season 6 took it to a new level.
Following the Rivervale 5-episode event, Riverdale season 6 began by introducing superpowers into The CW's Archieverse. While they are still seeking answers, the Riverdale characters have been busy tackling the latest, and perhaps biggest threat the town has ever faced. This year, Percival Pickens has become the gang's latest antagonist, as his power of persuasion is threatening Riverdale's future. While season 6 is close to its end, Riverdale season 7 is coming but will serve as The CW drama's final one.

With the news that Riverdale season 7, which will not arrive until 2023, will wrap up the series, season 6 will without a doubt set up the final season. In a new interview with TVLine, showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa opened up on Riverdale's pending end and how it all came about.
