Upcoming smartphone launches in July 2022: Oppo Reno 8, Redmi K50i, and more; Do not miss

Even though July 2022 has already begun, there are some big smartphone launches occurring over the next few weeks. Carl Pei’s startup brand is ready to announce its first smartphone and we couldn’t be more excited to know the prices and availability, given that everything is out. Announced in China previously, the Oppo Reno 8 Pro in India seems more likely to be the Reno 8 Pro+ model. That means we could be seeing the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip doing duties under the hood, a 120Hz OLED display, Oppo’s MariSilicon chip for cameras, new camera sensors, and faster 80W charging – all wrapped in what seems to be a beautifully designed body made of glass and metal. The Reno 8 Pro could be priced under Rs. 45000.
The Oppo Reno 8 will be the more affordable variant of the Reno 8 Pro, despite having a similar design and same camera sensors. This one will miss out on the MariSilicon chip, have a 90Hz OLED display, a Dimensity 1300 chip, and the same 80W wired charging. The Reno 8 could be replacing the Reno 7 that was launched earlier in 2022.
