Oppo will reveal its Reno 8 series in India soon and ahead of that, it has slowly started to reveal all the details and specs. The Reno 8 and Reno 8 Pro are coming to India soon and these will be mostly similar to the Chinese versions. However, Oppo has now confirmed that the India-bound Reno 8 Pro will be a largely different phone from the global model, and so will the Reno 8. Oppo is upgrading one crucial aspect on the device that could make the Indian variant much more powerful than the Chinese variant.
It is said that the Oppo Reno 8 Pro in India will use the MediaTek Dimensity 8100 MAX chipset instead of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chip. The Dimensity 8100 MAX is essentially as powerful as the Snapdragon 888, and should offer flagship levels of performance. This once gain confirms that the Reno 8 Pro will be the flagship offering from Oppo in India. We have already seen the Dimensity 8100 chip doing its duty on the Realme GT Neo 3.
On the other hand, the Oppo Reno 8 will getting a MediaTek Dimensity 1300 chipset. This is a slightly tweaked version of the Dimensity 1200 chipset that powered the Oppo Reno 7 Pro and Oppo Reno 6 Pro. Hence, both the Reno 8 models will have lots of performance to offer, especially considering that the Reno 8 series is the flagship lineup for Oppo in India.
Oppo has also revealed other aspects of the Reno 8 Pro prior to the launch. The phone will flaunt a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone will also get the faster 80W wired charging solution. Oppo is bringing its MariSilicon NPU chip to India with the Reno 8 Pro and it should help with better night videos and photos. The phone will also have a unibody design made of metal and glass.
