Neal McDonough, who portrayed the DC Comics villain Damien Darhk in the Arrowverse, teases upcoming appearances in The Flash season 9. While The Flash season 8 is almost done, there is already a lot of question about the show's upcoming season 9. It was quite the road for The Flash to get its season 9, compared to previous years. Even though The Flash has been one of the most popular shows on The CW since 2014, it's closer to its end than its beginning. Despite the news at the start of 2022 that The CW is up for sale, it didn't stop The Flash from getting picked up for season 9.
Currently, it's unknown whether or not The Flash season 9 will be the show's final one. Despite some earlier reports, The CW president Mark Pedowitz debunked the rumors, stating that talks on whether or not The Flash season 10 will happen or not will be taking place with the creative team in the near future. Little is known about The Flash season 9 other than that lead star Grant Gustin has signed on for 15 episodes. There is also the fact that The Flash season 9 won't premiere until 2023 after its upcoming season 8 finale on Wednesday, June 29.

While details on The Flash season 9 will begin to emerge later in the year, it appears a familiar Arrowverse baddie is making his way back into the franchise. In a recent interview with TV Insider, McDonough was asked about his visit during The Flash: Armageddon. While reflecting upon his latest appearance during the 5-part event, McDonough stated that he looks forward to doing more appearances on The Flash next year, without revealing exactly what he will be doing in season 9, sharing the following:
