Umbrella Academy: Klaus’ Weird Sparrow Ben Reaction Sets Up Season 3
Warning! SPOILERS for The Umbrella Academy season 2 finale.
In The Umbrella Academy season 2 finale, the Hargreeves siblings found themselves face-to-face with the Sparrow Academy, an alternate version of the Umbrella Academy. This new academy, formed with six new supernatural siblings born on October 1st, 1989, and an alternate version of the late Ben Hargreeves, looks likely to be the main antagonistic force facing the Umbrella Academy in season 3. However, given the peculiarity of Klaus’ reaction to the Sparrow’s Ben in Umbrella Academy new season 3 images, it’s possible that the turn season 3 will take might focus significantly on Klaus and Ben’s relationship as brothers.
In the season 2 finale, as the Hargreeves square off against the newly teased Sparrows, most of the Umbrella Academy looks on in shock and awe. Their shock and distress are only augmented by the reveal that their late sibling Ben Hargreeves is actually alive in this universe, as well as one of the Sparrows. However, interestingly, Klaus’ reaction to Ben being alive seems more pleased or surprised than shocked and concerned in these new season 3 images. As Klaus can speak with the dead, and most often used this power to speak to Ben in his original timeline, it’s possible he feels differently about seeing Ben again as a Sparrow.

Because of this, perhaps The Umbrella Academy season 3 will revolve around Klaus trying to win this new version of Ben over to the side of the Umbrella Academy and away from Umbrella Academy's recently revealed (and often fan-theorized) Sparrows.
