Early indications are that The Umbrella Academy season 3 will do the same, introducing its titular team to their alternate universe counterparts, the Sparrow Academy.
After saving the world in season 1, the events of The Umbrella Academy season 2 saw the Hargreeves siblings navigating Dallas in the early 1960s. Though this story was based loosely on the «Dallas» comic arc, the specifics of the story were changed for the Netflix series. The Umbrella Academy season 2 ended with the Hargreeves siblings traveling forward to their own time, only to find themselves in an alternate universe in which they were never adopted by Reginald Hargreeves. Faced with their counterparts, the Sparrow Academy, The Umbrella Academy season 2 ends with a tease of what season 3 will hold.

As The Umbrella Academy season 3 takes the Hargreeves siblings into an alternate version of their own present day, it would follow that they each have an alternate self that exists within the Sparrow universe. This is not only in keeping with traditional alternate universe logic, but seemingly confirmed by the presence of their brother Ben in the Sparrow Academy.
