Now, Resident Evil fans have been given a quick glimpse of what to expect from the remake in terms of both aesthetics and gameplay.
Quite a lot of Resident Evil content was shown off in the recent Capcom showcase, including the announcement of Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, which will provide players with a multitude of new content for Resident Evil Village. In terms of Resident Evil 4 remake new information was shown off, but in a considerably smaller quantity.
Resident Evil 4 Remake: Leon's Jacket is Real and You Can Buy It, But It's Expensive
A brief, five minute segment on Resident Evil 4 remake was shown via the Capcom Showcase. In it, game director Yasuhiro Anpo and producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi spoke about how the remake will capture the essence of Resident Evil 4, while also bringing modernity to the gameplay mechanics. Near the end of the segment, Capcom also showed off a thirty-second gameplay clip that takes place further into the game.
In addition to gameplay, Anpo and Hirabayashi also revealed that the main enemies of Resident Evil 4, the Ganado, are making a return, but have also been completely re-designed. Along with the Ganado infected by Las Plagas, numerous iconic locations from Resident Evil 4 have been lovingly recreated using the RE Engine, such as the numerous areas of the village and the castle.
