Ubisoft has announced a new The Division game for mobile.
The Division Resurgence is a free-to-play, third-person shooter RPG which the publisher says will let players roam freely in an open world New York.
It will be playable solo or co-operatively and promises a range of PvE activities including story missions and world activities.
“Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence takes place in a contemporary post-crisis New York City and offers a unique perspective on key story events that have taken place in Tom Clancy’s The Division and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2,” Ubisoft said.
“Chaos continues to wreak havoc in New York City, and as first-wave agents representing the Strategic Homeland Division, players will be tasked to protect civilians against hostile factions and help them build a better future.”
Players can register to participate in upcoming tests ahead of the game’s release for iOS and Android devices.
Ubisoft is also planning to release The Division Heartland during its current fiscal year ending in March 2023.
Announced last year, Heartland is a free-to-play Division spin-off described as “a standalone experience” that provides “an all new perspective on the universe in a new setting”.
A week after Heartland was revealed, 20 minutes of gameplay footage was leaked, along with more information on the title including its 45-player PvEvP mode called Storm.
