Micro-blogging site Twitter is reportedly working on the ability to copy text from tweets feature for the Android version of its app. This upcoming feature will let users copy and share something that they want to share. The feature is reported by leaker and hidden feature detective Jane Manchun Wong in a tweet posted last week. Twitter for Android has been lacking this easy text selection feature, however, users have found a work around to deal with this issue by using Overview Selection that lets them select text from any screen to copy and paste.
As of now, this function is accessible on the iOS app and it is likely to be rolled out soon on Android devices as well. Jane Wong tweeted that Google is working on bringing text selection to Android. She wrote, “Twitter for Android is finally working on the ability to select text on Tweets.”

However, Android expert Mishaal Rahman has shared that the feature is only available for selected Android users. He tweeted, “Overview text/image selection isn't available on all Android devices. Apart from Google Pixels I don't know if any other devices have it. (Google's is proprietary but other OEMs may have made their own.)”
