Ubisoft has appointed Julian Gerighty as the producer for its Tom Clancy’s The Division brand to oversee all games and products, including the today-announced Tom Clancy’s The Division 3.
Gerighty is currently the creative director of Star Wars Outlaws at Massive Entertainment, which created the Tom Clancy’s The Division franchise. He will make the move to The Division brand producer once Star Wars Outlaws has shipped.
After joining Massive Entertainment and shipping the original Tom Clancy’s The Division in 2016, Gerighty served as creative director on Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
In addition to Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, Gerighty will also oversee other projects set in the Tom Clancy’s The Division universe, including Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence and Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland.
One of Gerighty’s core focuses going into the role will be to build a team for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2, while making sure Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 remains well supported.
“We may have over 40 million players, but The Division is still in its early years as a franchise,” said Gerighty. “There are so many incredible stories to tell, places to explore and people to protect.”
He continued, “I think that we delivered that with Tom Clancy’s The Division‘s cutting-edge visuals, incredible gameplay, and promise to the player that they can’t get this experience anywhere else, and then again with Tom Clancy’s The Division 2. It’s about refinement, it’s about pushing the quality bar consistently forward.”
