The Division franchise has been a big success for Ubisoft, and yet, the series’ future has been in question in recent years. Free-to-play title The Division Heartland seems to be in limbo, and there’s been no info about a new core entry in the series, with rumors circulating nothing is in the works. Instead, Ubisoft has extended their live service support for The Division 2, which is now over 4 years old.
Well, good news – today Ubisoft quietly announced that The Division 3 is indeed happening. The game will be developed by series creators Massive Entertainment, with Julian Gerighty spearheading the project. Gerighty was creative director for The Division 2 before overseeing the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws. Gerighty is becoming the overall executive producer for The Division brand…
