The game director on the Titanfall series, Steve Fukuda, is working on an original new IP, Respawn Entertainment's Vince Zampella has revealed.
The co-founder of Respawn Entertainment and Infinity Ward co-founder said as much in a new interview with Axios, in which he was asked about the Battlefield series, the new Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and of course, the Titanfall series.

He added, "It has to be the right thing. It's such a beloved franchise for the fans and also for us. If it is not the right moment in time, the right idea, then it just doesn't make sense."
Luckily, Titanfall fans might have something to look out for as Zampella did reveal that Titanfall's game director is working on something new with a small team. "And while it is not working on a sequel to its beloved Titanfall franchise (it would love to but nothing's in the works, Zampella tells Axios), that series’ game director, Steve Fukuda, is leading a “very small,” “skunkworks” team at Respawn: “The mission is to find the fun in something new.", the Axios article reads.
